About this Speaker
Jim Hawley, PhD is Professor Emeritus of Management, School of Economics and Business at Saint Mary College of California. He is currently Senior ESG Advisor to FactSet. He is responsible for the Academic Network using Truvalue Labs’ (now a part of FactSet) data as well as involved in other FactSet projects and research.
He is the author of The Rise of Fiduciary Capitalism (2001), Dollars and Borders (1985/2018), and has published more than 60 academic articles and papers, in addition to practitioner ones. Jim is co-editor Corporate Governance Failures: The role of institutional investors in the global financial crisis.(2011), as well as co-editor of The Cambridge Handbook of Institutional Investment and Fiduciary Duty (2014) and The Routledge Handbook of Responsible Investment (2015). His most recent book, Moving Beyond Modern Portfolio Theory: Investing that Matters (2021) is co-authored with Jon Lukomnik. He continues to write academic papers and articles.
